Programmable Logic Controller |
The PL420 is a PLC (Programmable
Logic Controller) combined with a RS485 communications port. The
PL420 has a multipurpose combination of inputs and outputs. The module can
accommodate either 2 or 3 wire RTD sensors, current (0-20mA) and voltage (0-10V)
inputs, current (0-20mA) or voltage (0-10V) output, and digital inputs and
outputs. Four PID loops are included.

Procon has recently converted the
MMTCPDIOAIO I/O module to a PLC
by adding its ProSoft ladder programming software. The module communicates
on Ethernet using the Modbus TCP/IP protocol and the
I/O can be accessed via internal modbus registers. In addition, the
module can be programmed to run a ladder logic program or run
complex maths routines using the built in function blocks. Floating point
maths are standard and the module even includes 4 PID loops.

communicate with other Modbus master or slave devices on the network. This unit
